Sims 4 Wild Plants Not Growing
The little garden in oasis springs never has anything to harvest and this has been this way since the last two patches. It used to be a great way to actually find the plants in the first place as the sim trekked throughout the woods from plant to plant.

I find that on the first visit to an area none of the wild plants are harvestable regardless of how long you stay there.

In addition the remove all wild plants doesnt work as before now it removes one possibly two plants max - before it removed all of them. Then you can get your sim to click on a single plant and choose plant. Make sure your game is completely up-to-date as there was a bug that made wild plants unharvestable.
Okay so a lot of the wild plants arent growing. But it does take some time sometimes sim-days for wild plants to get to the point where they can be harvested. As I said in two games each 4 Sims weeks or 2 seasons only 1 plant produced anything.
You can fit one plant per grid square if you decide to plant on the ground. I have found that you must leave the area and return on a different day in. Mostly the pear trees all the plantstrees in any other world then willow creek.
The new Seasons expansion has greatly changed the way gardening works in The Sims 4. Working on identify wild plants part gotten to 810 forest and hermit zones already cleared for this task but the camping zone renting westcheapest lodge only 1 wild plant flower grow the other wild plants give no option for harvest. Already like spent 9 hours in-game at the zone. In order to get wild plants to a harvestable state you have to wait around the lot theyre on for a long time. Spending summer there trying to complete 1 of my sim outdoor aspiration 3 other sims already done it.
Apparently plants dont grow unless youre on the same lot. This wouldnt bother my but my main sims aspiration gardening stuff so yeah. If your sim can raise their gardening skill to level 5 they could take cuttings which can be done sooner.
Highlander thanks for trying to help me figure this out. Once you have a plant in your inventory you just need to drag the plant from your sims inventory into either a planter box or directly onto the ground. You could also take a cutting of them and then graft them to grow.
April 2016 in The Sims 4 General Discussion. Cant even sell produce from wild plants though you can plant them or use them as fertilizer. At this time however if you have a Sim with pre-existing gardening skill the packets.
Try having your sim spend more time in the neighbourhood where they are growing and they will soon then grow and be available to harvest.
